Introduction → Main ideas → Personal experience → Conclusion
(Giới thiệu → Ý chính → Trải nghiệm cá nhân → Kết luận)

  • Introduction: Giới thiệu trực tiếp người, địa điểm, sự việc hoặc trải nghiệm được hỏi.
  • Conclusion: Nêu cảm nhận, bài học hoặc lý do khiến trải nghiệm đó đáng nhớ.

Với Part 3, hãy tập trung vào khả năng phân tích và phát triển quan điểm thay vì chỉ trả lời trực tiếp. Bạn có thể luyện theo khung:

Opinion → Reason → Example → Contrast
(Quan điểm → Lý do → Ví dụ → Đối chiếu/so sánh)

Topic 1: Shopping

Part 1: Shopping (đề 22)

Question:
Do you enjoy shopping?

Sample answer:
Yes, I do, although I’m not really a shopaholic. I usually go shopping when I need something specific, such as clothes or household items. I also enjoy looking around shops because it helps me discover new products, but I try not to buy things that I don’t actually need.

  • go shopping: đi mua sắm
  • something specific: một món đồ cụ thể
  • look around: xem qua, tham quan
  • household items: đồ dùng gia đình
  • buy something I don’t need: mua thứ mình không cần

Part 2: A shopping place you often go to (đề 8)

Cue card:
Describe a shopping place you often go to.

You should say:

  • where it is
  • what kinds of things you usually buy there
  • how often you go there
  • and explain why you like going there

Cách phát triển ý:
Giới thiệu địa điểm → Mô tả sản phẩm/dịch vụ → Tần suất ghé thăm → Lý do yêu thích hoặc trải nghiệm cá nhân.

Sample answer:
I’d like to talk about a shopping mall that I often visit in my city. It is located in a convenient area, so I can easily get there by public transport or by motorbike.

I usually go there to buy clothes, personal items and sometimes electronic accessories. Apart from shopping, I also enjoy visiting bookstores, having meals with friends and spending time in the entertainment areas.

I visit this place several times a month, especially when I need to buy something or want to relax after a busy week. I like it because the environment is comfortable, the products are diverse and I can find almost everything I need in one place.

What makes this shopping place memorable to me is not only the convenience but also the experiences I have there with my friends and family. I think it is a great place to shop and spend free time.

  • a wide range of products: nhiều loại sản phẩm đa dạng
  • personal items: đồ dùng cá nhân
  • entertainment areas: khu vực giải trí
  • spend time with friends and family: dành thời gian với bạn bè và gia đình
  • a comfortable environment: môi trường/không gian thoải mái
  • find everything I need in one place: tìm thấy mọi thứ cần thiết ở một nơi

Question:
What are the advantages and disadvantages of online shopping?

Sample answer:
I think online shopping has both benefits and drawbacks. On the one hand, it is convenient because people can buy products anytime without visiting physical stores, and they can easily compare prices and read customer reviews before making a decision. On the other hand, online shopping may cause problems because customers cannot check the quality of products directly, and attractive advertisements can sometimes encourage people to buy things they do not really need.

Advantage → Explanation → Example → Disadvantage/Contrast

Topic 2: Cars & Traffic

Part 1: Cars (đề 23)

Question:
Do you prefer to be a driver or a passenger?

Sample answer:
I prefer being a passenger because I can relax and enjoy the journey without worrying about traffic. When I travel with friends or family, I like looking at the scenery, listening to music or having conversations with other people. However, I think learning how to drive is still important because it gives people more independence.

  • be a passenger: làm hành khách
  • worry about traffic: lo lắng về giao thông
  • enjoy the journey: tận hưởng chuyến đi
  • look at the scenery: ngắm cảnh
  • have conversations: trò chuyện

Part 2: A traffic jam (đề 35)

Cue card:
Describe an occasion when you were stuck in a traffic jam for a very long time.

You should say:

  • when it happened
  • where you were stuck
  • what you did while waiting
  • and explain how you felt about the traffic jam

Sample answer:

I'd like to talk about a time when I was stuck in a traffic jam on my way to an important appointment. It happened on a weekday evening when I was travelling across the city during rush hour.

The road was extremely crowded, and almost all the cars and motorbikes were moving very slowly. At first, I was quite frustrated because I was worried that I would arrive late. Since there was nothing I could do, I decided to check my messages and listen to a podcast while waiting.

I eventually arrived about half an hour later than expected. The experience was stressful, but it reminded me that I should leave home earlier when travelling during peak hours. Since then, I've tried to check traffic conditions before starting an important journey.

  • be stuck in a traffic jam: bị kẹt xe
  • rush hour: giờ cao điểm
  • move very slowly: di chuyển rất chậm

Part 3: Traffic and public transport (đề 35)

Question:

Does vehicle traffic cause most air pollution?

Sample answer:
I think vehicle traffic is one of the major causes of air pollution, especially in large cities with heavy congestion. Cars, motorcycles and trucks release exhaust fumes that contain harmful gases and particles, which can affect air quality and people's health. For example, areas with busy roads often experience higher levels of pollution because thousands of vehicles travel there every day. However, traffic is not the only source of air pollution, as industrial activities and energy production can also contribute significantly to this problem.

Opinion → Explanation → Example → Qualification
(Quan điểm → Giải thích → Ví dụ → Bổ sung điều kiện/giới hạn)

  • Opinion: Trả lời trực tiếp mức độ đồng ý (ví dụ: giao thông là nguyên nhân lớn nhưng không phải duy nhất).
  • Explanation: Giải thích vì sao phương tiện giao thông ảnh hưởng đến môi trường.
  • Example: Đưa ví dụ về thành phố đông đúc, lượng xe lớn hoặc tình trạng ùn tắc.

Topic 3: Education & Learning

Part 1: Studying (đề 3)

Question:
Do you prefer to study in the mornings or in the afternoons?

Sample answer:
I prefer studying in the mornings because I usually feel more focused and energetic after waking up. I find it easier to concentrate on difficult subjects or complete important tasks at that time. However, I sometimes study in the afternoon when I need to review lessons or prepare for upcoming tests.

  • feel focused and energetic: cảm thấy tập trung và tràn đầy năng lượng

  • thời gian và thói quen học tập;
  • môn học yêu thích;
  • phương pháp học hiệu quả;

Part 2: A new skill learned as a child (đề 6)

Cue card:
Describe a new skill you learned when you were a child.

You should say:

  • what the skill was
  • when you learned it
  • how you learned it
  • and explain how you felt about learning this skill

Sample answer:

One skill I learned when I was a child was swimming. I started learning when I was around eight years old because my parents thought it was an important skill for safety and health.

At first, I was quite nervous because I wasn't comfortable in deep water. I took lessons at a local swimming pool and practised with my instructor every weekend. My parents also encouraged me to keep trying whenever I felt frustrated.

After several months, I became much more confident and could swim without assistance. I was really proud of myself because it was the first time I had experienced such a clear improvement in a physical skill. Looking back, learning to swim also taught me that regular practice is often more important than being naturally talented.

  • learn a new skill: học một kỹ năng mới
  • for safety and health: vì sự an toàn và sức khỏe
  • feel nervous: cảm thấy lo lắng
  • without assistance: không cần trợ giúp

  • Learning a skill: học bơi, chơi nhạc cụ, nấu ăn, ngoại ngữ.

Part 3: Learning new skills (đề 6)

Question:
Why do some people have better memories than others?

Sample answer:
I think there are several reasons why some people have better memories than others. One important factor is their learning habits, as people who regularly review information and practise remembering things tend to develop stronger memory skills. For example, students who use techniques like taking notes, making connections between ideas or practising regularly may remember information more effectively. However, memory ability is also influenced by factors such as age, health and individual differences, so having a good memory is not only about effort.

Reason → Explanation → Example → Qualification

  4. Mở rộng câu trả lời có kiểm soát: Thay vì cố nói thật dài, hãy tập trung vào việc thêm reason, example, detail hoặc result để câu trả lời có nội dung rõ ràng.
  5. Ghi âm và tự đánh giá: Sau mỗi buổi luyện, kiểm tra tốc độ nói, khoảng ngừng, phát âm, lỗi chia thì, từ vựng lặp lại và khả năng kết nối ý.
